Diamond push ups are a type of push ups that many try to avoid, but end up doing anyways due to its amazing effect on the triceps.
This variation requires you to put spread out hands on the floor in a way where they are directly below the center of your chest in a way that forms a diamond-like shape between your hands.

How to do diamond push ups?
For this variation, you need your hands close.
- Get into your regular planking push up position.
- Spread your fingers and have them come close underneath your chest.
- Check to see if the space between your fingers form a diamond. If so, you're in the right position.
- Bend your elbows to really feel the burn in your triceps.
Diamond Push Ups vs. Regular Push Ups
Push ups generally work three parts of your body. They include the shoulders, chest (pectorals), and triceps. With the diamond push up variation, you are putting much more stress on your triceps than your shoulders and chest. To those who don't have very strong triceps yet, this push up variation can be very challenging to some.
